Green Yellow Dal

Ingredients
- PRIMARY INGREDIENTS
- 500 g Green Dal whole mung Dal
- 100 g Yellow Dal ChanaDal
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Ginger& garlic paste
- 300 g Onion
- 1 tsp Jeera; turmeric; Garlic Flakes each
- ½ tsp Red Chili; crushed chili each
- 1 tsp Coriander powder; Garam Masala; each
- ½ tsp Bay leaf; cinnamom; black pepper & cloves each
- 1 tbsp Desi Ghee
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Hing
Instructions
- Wash and put Green Yellow dal in the cooker (add 4 times water, Turmeric & salt). For tempering – In a pan, add oil, jeera seeds, Garlic & ginger, onions and salt. Cook the onions till they are brown. Now add all the spices and cook for 1 minute and then add hing and desi ghee.
- Now mix the tadka with the dal in the slow cooker.
- (Add boiling water for desired consistency) then simmer for 30 minutes finish with green coriander.
